My latest obsession is YouTube! I LOVE IT! Ever since I got an Apple TV and can stream from my phone directly to the big screen I’ve gained ten pounds and have started an endless number of art projects. Last night while I was “Tubing” I came across this cute lil girl with a fun taste in music and a brilliant idea for a t-shirt craft. She turned an old custom t-shirt into what she calls a Pochette. After she amazed me with that she took it up a notch and used some of the left over t-shirt fabric to make a flower embellishment for her t-shirt bag. She tops it off by braiding some twine looking material to make a shoulder strap for the bag she constructed from an old custom printed t-shirt. My favorite thing about this is the green aspect! Stinky T-Shirts?
Work or play hard in your custom printed t-shirts? Have that not so attractive sweat stain under the arm of your favorite t-shirt? Even after washing your favorite printed t-shirt a little bit of your natural order is still there? Well, do not fear because Heloise has come to the rescue with a couple of her helpful hints.
• Turn each T-shirt inside out, put liquid detergent on the area and rub the material together a little. Don’t use too much detergent. Don’t stuff the washer full; do only a normal load.
• Soak several of the custom printed T-shirts in the hottest water that’s safe for the fabric, and add 1 to 2 cups of household vinegar. The vinegar works to dissolve the sweat stains and helps cut the odor. Then, launder as usual. Good luck!
